Videocon mobiles has been releasing some mobile phones lately.It has been releasing mobile phones for various divisions like multimedia phones,touch phones and so on.Here are some facts that you need to know about these mobiles.
Well videocon mobiles lacks some important features which makes them a worst choice for mobile.Here are the list of the lacking features.I am writing this on the basis of V1502 model of videocon but it might apply to most of its other models as well.
No Phone Memory
The videocon mobiles has either no phone memory or either shared memory.The videocon V1502 actually has 123 kb of phone memory.The phone supports gprs features,but when you browse a webpage it cannot handle pages which are greater than 123 kb.It will end up with a error message as "Not enough memory".The worst part is there is no option to change the phone memory to memory card for gprs.So the phone is equipped with gprs which has no use.
You Cannot install softwares
The phone does not support any software installations.Actually there is no option to install the software.So you cannot have any of the application softwares out there like the SBI mobile banking application or the opera mini browser.
Fixed No of themes
There are like three themes available for the mobile and you cannot download further themes and apply it to the phone.There is no themes available for the mobile in the internet.If at all you manage to find a theme you cannot apply it to the phone.
Cannot download new SMS tone
There is no option to include new sms tones to the phones.Again there are some fixed sms tones which u can use them.So no chance to use some fancy sms tones available in the internet.
No password protection
The phone cannot be password protected.In most of the mobiles there will be a option to ask for a password while unlocking the keypad which will be very useful for ensuring privacy.But the phone does not have one.You cannot keypad lock the phone manually.Also there is password protection available which asks for the password while you switch on your mobile i feel no sense in this feature.
High prices
These phones are made in china for videocon and most of the phones interfaces are similar to the chinese mobiles in the market.Videocon mobiles are priced much higher than those chinese mobiles with still same features packed in.
